Garden to Table - Richard and Tupou

 

Tupou and Richard are standing at the back of a bucket of potatoes all ready because they have their hats, shoes and tools. First we had to find the place and look in which bed the potatoes were. My group and I looked in every bed and we found tiny ones then after we started to dig deeper we found bigger ones. It was hard harvesting the potatoes because you had to dig up the heavy dirt and it was hard to find them.They must have been dirty because they had to go into the dirt and there were humongous potatoes and small baby potatoes in  the bucket. I was the first one to  harvest the potatoes and we had no luck when we tried to find them again. I was dirty on my knees and legs. I cut myself with one of the leaves. It was cool finding the potatoes because we were like finding one then another person would say found another one. We were exhausted because of all the heavy dirt. If we did’t find alot of potatoes, we would put lime inside the bucket. When I was digging for a potato, I put the folk down as hard as I could then I stabbed one and it went all the way through coming out on the other side.

It was a good experience doing Garden to Table. I learned alot about watering the plants and planting the new plants.

Te Rehutai and Team New Zealand

     

 The crowd is going wild and cheering the New Zealand team. Saying New Zealand! New Zealand!.The whole team was fit, some were small and some were big but they had a big heart. The teams are Luna Rossa  and Emirates Team New Zealand. They were competing for the America's cup. The score is 7 to 3. New Zealand  had to win this round to win the America's  cup. They were all fit and ready for the race. People from all around the world were watching and waiting to see if New Zealand would win. The skipper's name is Peter Burling. So they hopped on the boat and said ready to go.

In Race 6 - Italy was coming first and when New Zealand tried to get it going. If you don't have wind for it won’t work so it took them 4 minute and 16 just to work it but they were not giving up until they worked it. So they kept on going until it worked then they started doing the work and was going hard out when Luna Rossa’s foil was not going up and stopped, Team New Zealand came past and the crowd was going loud and people were going like how they do that and they started to win.

Race 7 was exciting. Both teams went out hard just to finish and get a cup. Team New Zealand and Te Rehutai won the race. At the celebration, one of the players in the team got a bottle of champagne and popped the lid off and sprayed it around all over his team. The reason why they are celebrating is because they have won. It took place at Waitemata Harbour. Now when they get home they will be exhausted and tired. 

Te Rehutai means “Spirit of the Ocean” and the name of the Team New Zealand boat.

 

The Tunnel writing 2

 

We were out in the shallow paddling out to the deep part when I see a humongous shark and I was frightened because I did not see it coming. My legs would be shaking I would be screaming like a girl. The shark must of came to us because it did not want us in his sea and he might be angry. The great white shark was still chasing us and inside I was feeling terrified. If someone was with me I would tell them to calm down and ignore the shark and get back to surface. 

When I was nearly at surface I looked back and the shark was not there and when I looked forward I saw the shark in front of me and I was like how the heck  did that  shark get in front of me. So I turned left and ignore it and was looking straight because I look at it into it eyes he might be thinking he has an eye problem. I’m focus on the land so excited to get there because I’m tired from paddling and stuff .So when I’m on land I would be on the ground all exhausted and I will be saying to myself why did I even out to the sea.

The Tunnel writing #1

 

The children were just having a normal day until they came across a waterfall. Their faces were already  filled with excitement. The waterfall is sparkling down to the bottom water. I can see the clouds grey so it looks like it's gonna rain. The children are probably doing a treasure hunt but you have to find the magical places.  I can see fish under the water moving so fast that when they get close they all move. If I stood close to the waterfall  there  would be spitting water at my face and it would sound like the wind going through my ear and out  another.

I would see birds chirping happily with their family, fishy moving happily and the bird looking angrily saying in its head, get off my lawn. Trees are swaying side to side like they are dancing to the music. The grass feels soft like a fluffy dog. The kids are pointing at something at a fish that is special. I think the children are visiting the waterfall because they might be camping or doing a treasure hunt or just visiting for fun. The waterfall is rocky so they all got a warning to be careful.
